The filmmakers used what they already had at their disposal

Narrative

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the spooky town of Miles County, where he attacks a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. Scenes filmed in the haunted house "Terrifier" they were recorded in a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art’s favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which he keeps in a clear glass bottle.

Art the Clown:

It is a super acid capable of dissolving even glass. There’s a scene in the middle of checking out at a mental hospital with Chris Jericho as security guard Alan Burke and Leah Voysey as a nurse. Tiberius Film’s German DVD and Blu-ray releases have been trimmed by approximately three minutes to ensure the "Not Under 18" (this was necessary because the guidelines for video releases are stricter than for cinema).

Basically, all the violent scenes were cut to tone down the violence. Nameless Media’s Mediabook 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray releases are uncut and get a slight thumbs up from SPIO/JK. Here’s another film that will raise another big frown, as a wandering psychopath roams the city, with oversized boots and a dark, crooked smile, a bag full of removal and reshaping tools, expressing emotions through gestures and facial expressions, it will take everything you’ve got when you’ve reached your climax, without mercy or compassion, as you beg and plead, reveling in every trait, as you exhaust and bleed. If you enjoy inflicting and unleashing violence and pain on another person using a variety of tools, then come back and enjoy the disturbing world of Art the Clown as he works his way through various torsos while teaching Takashi Miike and the butcher a thing or two about dissecting corpses.
